Ben Gaffield is an Ethics & Compliance leader with more than twenty years’ experience in building, developing and leading robust and effective compliance programs in the automotive and aerospace & defense industries. He began his career in 2001 at General Motors, ultimately helping the company navigate a Department of State imposed Consent Agreement, resulting in the roll-out of a global export controls program.
During his 12 years with Elbit America, Ben’s role has expanded to include many areas outside of the Trade Compliance and Import/Export Operations space. His team is responsible for Ethics, Internal Audit, Data & Information Governance, ESG & Sustainability, Foreign Military Financing Compliance, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Anti-Corruption, DEI, and many other regulatory compliance areas.
Ben is passionate about acting as an agent for positive change within his organization. He’s the Executive Sponsor of the company’s PRIDE Employee Resource Group and the Chair of the Information Governance Board. Originally from the Detroit-area, Ben now lives in Fort Worth with his wife, toddler and assorted animals.
