Jeff is responsible for trade compliance and third-party diligence and compliance risk management for Southwire Company. Jeff has a broad range of responsibilities including trade administration and compliance with U.S. import and export regulations for the company, broker management, free trade agreements within the scope of company business, as well accurate material classification and documentation. With regard to third-party risk, Jeff manages Southwire’s screening policy for compliance risk including sanction cooperation and derogatory media analysis to ensure no reputational harm comes to the company. Jeff has written and published the Southwire Supplier Code of Conduct as well as the company’s Third-Party Compliance Risk Screening policy, UFLPA/Forced Labor guidelines, and other regulatory guidelines.
Prior to joining the Southwire Legal department, Jeff managed the Transportation and Logistics group for Southwire adding to an excellent career in both domestic and international logistics in other industries. His degree work included Shorter University (Rome) and The University of Georgia (Athens) as well as multiple certificates for inventory management, security, international trade, and compliance.
