Shannon Fox is a Trade Compliance Professional with thirty years of experience managing global import and export compliance programs. A licensed U.S. Customs Broker and Certified Customs Specialist, she has worked in the areas of import and export operations the Americas, APAC and EMEA regions. In her current position working for an OEM who manufactures commercial trucks and buses, her key responsibility is managing export compliance with a focus on export classification of technology and software, for data sharing across related brands. She also has responsibility for implementing standard processes across the organization to ensure compliance in the areas of export operations, restricted party screening, and end-user / end use restrictions.
Previously Shannon worked in the Rail Industry managing a multi-national team with import and export operations in over 15 countries. She successfully implemented a Trade Management System; streamlined customs brokerage operations; and implemented processes for duty deferral, duty preference programs, and tax recovery. Prior to working in industry, Shannon spent eighteen years providing customs managed services, leading a large, multi-national team to support more than forty clients. The services provided by this cross-functional team included import classification, valuation, free trade agreement qualification and solicitation, customs broker management, post entry, IMMEX management, and consulting services. Shannon supported new client integrations and divestiture transitions. She also developed and implemented training and rotation programs to provide team members exposure to each functional area.
