Daniela Zwada currently works as an Advanced Planning Customs Manager for the General Motors Tax & Customs team. She is responsible for managing Customs Risk Assessments for GM’s future vehicle and propulsion Program Planning. This includes forecasting for free trade agreement compliance and advising Program Management, Purchasing, and Manufacturing Strategy to ensure long-term compliance. Daniela also acts as a Global Technical Advisor to the Classification Center of Expertise (COE), driving process improvements through automation and artificial intelligence.
With 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, Daniela has held managerial roles in Tariff Classification and Global Origin at GM. She implemented the Classification and Origin COE’s and managed the GM North American country of origin and qualification processes, maximizing Free Trade Agreement utilization and ensuring compliance. Daniela is a graduate of the University of Michigan-Dearborn with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Finance.
