Shannon Fura

Shannon Fura is a partner in the Chicago-based international trade law firm of Page·Fura, P.C.  For 30 years, she has practiced in the area of import, export and supply chain security.  In this capacity, Shannon represents clients before U.S. federal government agencies including, but not limited to, U.S. Customs & Border Protection, the Foreign-Trade Zones Board, the Bureau of Industry & Security, the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, the Office of Foreign Assets Control and the Census Bureau.  Shannon has been engaged on a wide variety of issues, including the development and enhancement of trade compliance programs; strategizing on classification, valuation and origin concerns; evaluating the use of such duty alternatives as foreign-trade zones; evaluating the applicability of trade remedies such as ADD/CVD, Section 232 and Section 301; developing and implementing forced labor/UFLPA internal control mechanisms; advising on export controls and sanctions; and representing clients on administrative reviews and enforcement actions.

Shannon is also a Licensed Customs Broker, the Chair of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Foreign Trade Zones and the President of the Board of Directors of Beyond the Baby Blues, a local not for profit focused on maternal mental health.
